A Sailor's Story
Description. A short description of a book from my bookshelf, not a review.
Vice Admiral N. Krishnan commanded the Eastern Naval Command during the 1971 war. In his memoir he recounts his naval career and the campaign in the Bay of Bengal, including the blockade of East Pakistan and the loss of the Pakistani submarine Ghazi off Visakhapatnam.
It is a valuable personal account of the Indian Navy's eastern campaign and complements the accounts of Admirals Nanda and Kohli.
