David and Goliath

by Malcolm Gladwell

Description. A short description of a book from my bookshelf, not a review.

Gladwell argues that apparent disadvantages can be advantages and that the powerful are often less strong than they seem. He uses examples from history, education and sport, starting with a reinterpretation of the biblical story.

The book is entertaining and thought-provoking, though critics argue that Gladwell sometimes selects evidence to fit his theses. It is most useful as a provocation to look at problems from unexpected angles.
