Humankind
Description. A short description of a book from my bookshelf, not a review.
Bregman argues that most people are fundamentally decent and that the belief in human selfishness is a self-fulfilling prophecy. He re-examines famous experiments and stories, including the Stanford prison experiment and Lord of the Flies.
It is an optimistic and readable book, though critics argue that it sometimes overstates its case. It is a useful counterweight to darker views of human nature.
