Ikigai

by Héctor García and Francesc Miralles

Description. A short description of a book from my bookshelf, not a review.

The authors draw on the habits of long-lived communities in Okinawa to describe ikigai, a reason for being, and the practices that support a long, purposeful life: staying active, eating moderately, keeping friends close and finding flow in work.

It is a short, gentle book that some readers find too light. Its value is as a reminder of simple principles rather than as a rigorous study.
