Nelson's Trafalgar

by Roy Adkins

Description. A short description of a book from my bookshelf, not a review.

Adkins reconstructs the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805 through the experiences of the sailors, officers and marines who fought it on both sides, describing life on board, the conditions of battle and the storm that followed.

It is vivid and detailed, and gives a strong sense of what fighting at sea in the age of sail was like.
