Wired for War
Description. A short description of a book from my bookshelf, not a review.
Singer surveys the robotics revolution in warfare, from bomb-disposal robots and Predator drones to future autonomous systems. He interviews engineers, soldiers and ethicists to explore how unmanned systems change the experience, politics and law of war.
Written in a lively, journalistic style, the book was ahead of its time when it appeared in 2009, and many of the questions it raised are now central to defence debates.
