How to Lose a War at Sea

by Bill Fawcett (ed.)

Description. A short description of a book from my bookshelf, not a review.

This collection, edited by Bill Fawcett, describes naval blunders through history, from ancient battles through the age of sail to the twentieth century. Each short chapter shows how poor leadership, bad luck, arrogance or faulty technology led to defeat at sea.

It is light and anecdotal, but it makes a serious point: studying failure can teach as much as studying success.
