The Pursuit of Victory
Description. A short description of a book from my bookshelf, not a review.
Knight's biography of Horatio Nelson is grounded in extensive archival research and places Nelson within the Royal Navy of his day. It covers his campaigns, his leadership, his relationships and his death at Trafalgar.
It is balanced and scholarly, showing both Nelson's genius for command and his flaws. Many consider it the best modern biography of the admiral.
